Isn't it about time that we launched an investigation into Irish Olympic 'athletes' and their so called achievements.

Here we are yet again on the brink of another scandal this time involving a horse! This follows on after the debacle of a certain solicitor in Cork and still in the shadow of the greatest one of all involving getting from one end of a swimming pool to another without being doped up to the nines!

Why do we always seem to let ourselves down in the eyes of the world in our attempts to win glory? Ireland was never known for its cheating so why when we do cheat do we have to reserve it for the Olympic Games and make such chumps of ourselves?

Who are you Ben and, more importantly, who do you think you are to feel let down? You use the word "we" as though our athletes owe you something - have you ever contributed anything (including support) to an effort that would entitle you to feel this way.

One area where "we" lead the world is in whinging from the comfort of our armchairs about the efforts of others
