Army entitlement medical discharge

Hey my hubby was medically discharged from the army after 3.5 years does anyone know if he is entitled to anything re pension etc

DF pensions differ in many ways from the rest of the Public Service. Have you tried contacting PDFORA? or perhaps the DF directly?

Entitlement to a disability pension from the army is normally given to those who suffer a disability in the course of their army duties and must be applied for from the pension board ,which is located in St Bricin's Hospital, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8. Because your husband was medically discharged from the army does not necessarily mean that he is entitled to any pension. It usually depends on the nature of the illness or injury, how he acquired it and whether or not it was related to his army work.
