are these life and home protection quotes competitive?

hEy all,
on to broker this morning and was quoted the following for a mortage of 353750 over 30 years:

Life
decreasing Mortage Protection: 33.51
level term: 44.13

Home + Contents (23k)
36.89 over 10 months

hopme +contents (31K)
34.62 over 12 months

are these competitive rates or are we better off having a look around ourselves

Check for pretty good quotes on life insurance. Big difference is their discount if you pay 12months up front.

And you'll definitely get better home insurance quotes if you ring FBD direct.

This morning I changed my home insurance from Hibernian (through a broker) to Axa (through www.123.ie). Went from €336 to €250. Called Axa directly and the quote was €396 so the bloke told me to go with the www.123.ie quote.

As ever - don't compare any sort of insurance products on price (premium) alone. Always check the respective terms & conditions of the policy documents. Not all insurance policies are created equally. Make sure that whatever cover you buy meets your specific, individual needs for cover.
