Are Smurfit Kappa IPO shares available to Joe Public?

I know discussing the pros/cons of individual shares is forbidden on ABM so lets not get into whether they'll do well or not. The thing is I heard somewhere that the shares may only be available to institutional investors, is there any truth in this? I guess what I'm asking is will I be able to buy say €2000 from my usual broker when they float or not does anybody know?

Cheers!

This is a good question which I was wondering about myself. Presumably any retail investor can buy the shares through a broker in the usual way once the float has taken place. But is there any way for non-institutional investors to apply for shares at the IPO price?

I don't believe it is possible for an individual to subscribe for shares in the initial offering. Some of the private client arms of Irish brokers will be subscribing for shares on behalf of clients - but you would need to have a fair bit of cash for this and would want to be an existing client ( I would guess).
