Are Quoted Pension Fund prices audited and by who ?

For example if my pension provider tells me I have 200 units in such and such a fund @ €1.50 - who decides this unti price of €1.50 and how is it audited ?

Is this unit price reflective of the underlying assets ?

Please forgive my paranoia on when it comes to the financial service sector but i would like to know how you are so sure ?
