Are Karcher window vacs a good product ?

I have a kärcher mini vac. Cost about 35eur, wasn't the cheapest. Totally useless, it fails to pick up most small particles.
 
I have one and it’s working fine after 3 years. Doesn’t get enough outings I must admit. I’d best use it more often. Does a great job

Some reputable manufacturers do repeat their full guarantee from the replacement date of the faulty product.

Philips was one such company. Their electric kettles came with a 2 year warranty. I had faulty Philips kettles replaced 3 times. Each one developed an element fault within the guarantee period.

The quality of their unrepairable kettles was terrible but at least Philips offered no quibble replacements.

In general my policy now is to buy the cheapest appliance and hope for the best. So far my cheap Currys own brand essentials kettle which cost €10 has lasted well beyond 2 years.

I will be buying a Lidl window vac shortly.

My kettle and window vac both come from Aldi, and both have been going strong for more than 2 years.

There are times when buying the more expensive product is the correct decision, and there are runes when buying the cheapest is correct. The punchline should be: "but life hasn't taught me how to tell which is which yet". The reality is that more and more the cheap product is the correct decision because often they're all made from the same components anyway.
