Are Equifax and the like reliable? Do they shoe ALL debts?

I am going through a divorce at the moment and need to know what debt I have in my sole name and joint name.

I have recieve statements from Equifax and Experian, they state most of debts, but my soon to be ex-wife states we have more than what is on the certificate and the bank has confirmed this. Could this be true?

If so, is there one sure way of requesting a statement of some sort to state exactly what debt I/we have?
