I recently got quoted the following fees from an architect for a house extension in Dublin 12.
House is a 2 bed end of terrace house with a kitchen and bathroom extension at the back of the house that was built in 2005.
I am looking to build on top of the existing kitchen which will include 2 new bedrooms.i am also looking to move the bathroom from downstairs to upstairs.I am also looking to change the location of the kitchen downstairs and transform it into a kitchen living room open plan area.
Here are the fees...
DESIGN PHASE - €2,850 + VAT
SITE MONITORING – €1850 + VAT
CONSTRUCTION PHASE: SNAG LIST AND FINAL CERTIFICATION 350.00 + VAT
all in about 6,200 which includes vat.
does this seem reasonable.
Architect reckons i need a budget of 100k.
