Arabic courses in Dublin centre - help!!!

Hi

Does anyone know anywhere I can do an evening course in arabic in the city. I know there is a place in Dublin 6 but I would prefer somewhere in Dublin 1 or 2 ...

Try emailing a relevant embassy in Dublin to see if they have lists of places that do courses.

I did this with one of the embassies recently (not for arabic though) and they had a list prepared - it seems to be a reasonably common request.

The problem may be finding a suitable emabssy in Dublin.

I'll try that. I have been searching on the net etc... without much luck. Even if you specifically search for Dublin courses lots of groups based in England are thrown up. I was considering getting some cd's and books etc... and trying to do it myself but I'm not too keen on that method.

www.nightcourses.com its gives the one in D6, and is a bit
expensive at €265

a secondary school in my area D15 advertised their courses
a few months ago and they had a 12 week arabic beginners
course for €90.

so you could try out a secondary school in the suburbs near
you for a course.the city centre ones tend to be aimed at
business people and are therefore more expensive.

ask an arabic speaker to give you private lessons, try
mosques, or a lot of pakistanis own local shops(they speak
arabic indians don't) ask them if they would be interested
in giving you lessons.
1.5 hours * 12 weeks = 18 hours €10 per hour = €180
cheaper than the D6 place and individual attention
 
I live (and work) in Dublin 7 so it's actually handier for me to do things in the city.

Thanks for the suggestions - I hadn't really thought about looking for individual tuition. I think I would prefer to be in a class environment though - at the start at least.

Maybe I should just go with Linguaphone!!!
