Hi I wonder does anyone know how i go about this without going to an agency. They seem to be trying to charge 1000 to just apply?

Are you talking about a working visa?
Does one need a visa for a holiday in canada?

From: [broken link removed]
Irish citizens do not require a visa to enter Canada as a visitor,
or on business, for a period not exceeding six months.

You will require:

1. A valid Irish passport;
2. An airline ticket with return date indicated;
3. Sufficient funds to support yourself for the duration of your visit.

The airlines can be adamant about the return or onward flight from Canada. I was alomost refused boarding at Shannon becuase I had a one way ticket to Canada. I had to proove that I was taking an onward flight to new York. You are presumed to be an emmigration threat. i.e. guilty unless proven innocent.

Jeny,

I ave been looking into this recently, you will have to apply to the UK branch. Here are some links

You can also apply for a temp working visa that is valid for 1 year, but I belive you can (with the help of your employer) extend it for a further year.
