I'm considering appealing against a conviction for speeding (due to non attandance at adjourned summons) and was wondering how long the process takes and approximate legal costs

Thanks

firstly, you have ten days to submit your appeal, or if you miss that deadline then you can apply for an extension.

An appeal to the Circuit Court is likely to cost you at least €500-750 and perhaps more especially if you engage a solicitor to lodge the appeal as they may need to attend the Distrcit Court first to ask the judge to set the bond that you will be liable for if you appeal and then don't turn up.
