Just wondering on this, i've seen one development where the same apartment is 10,000 more expensive for each floor you go higher, is that a general rule of thumb? And is it something that can be got when reselling?
deffo apllies. mid floors perhaps the 10k difference can be muddied in resale between say a 2 and a 3 on 4/5 story for ex... but the difference from GF to Top is worth 10k a floor and you will get that on resale, relative to others providing market conditions are similarly even at time of sale.
What about where the ground floor apartment is larger and/or has a fair bit of private space externally? Some developments don't have anything bigger than 2-bed apartments on the top floor in order to squeeze in more of them
Well yeah, agree with that. Most of the time that's true. There are other advantages such as having nobody living above you, further away from ground level noise and depending on the design attic space.
