The mother has one. If you have children or grandchildren you'll easily fill it up! I think it's a great idea, growing up most of our childhood photos were left in boxes but on this wall you can see the grandchildren growing up, see different generations as children etc. I will definitely start my own photo wall when I have my own house. Only suggestion I have is choose the wall carefully.
I'm not sure if what I'm thinking of is called a picture wall. I have seen big photo frames with a collage of family photos cut up in different shapes and sizes and glued to the board. Looks fantastic.
I think its a great idea - Mrs Bloggs parents had no photos at all in their house but since the grandkids have come along they've covered one wall with pictures of them. (They've had to get the pictures from their sons and daughters in law as stange as it may seem none of their family - and that includes Mrs B has ever owned a camera).
I was in New Zealand a few years ago and visited a friends house and in their hallway was a big massive board with cloth on it and light over it and it was covered with photo's going back years we spent ages going through them some great memories, still haven't done it here yet, thanks for reminding me.
I was thinking of just selecting one wall in the house and putting up framed pictures of friends, family, holidays etc. Was thinking of either using all the same colour frames or say the same type.
Oh, right. Nearly everyone I know has done this kind of thing already, never knew it was so unusual. I'd advise you not to rely too much on the style magazines and just go for it.
