In Ireland lets say 10 years ago if you were disqualified from driving for lets say 8 years you were legally obliged to serve 4 years (half of the full disqualification) which meant in 4 years time you can apply and drive again.
at some point in some year from 2010 on-wards this changed. By taking the above into account again now its said that 2 thirds of the disqualification length has to be served before being entitled to get the licence restored meaning from the 8 years that was disqualification ban, 5.333 years or 5 years 3 months has to be served.
Can anyone at all please tell me when it was changed from half of the disqualification time to 2 thirds of the disqualification time as i cannot find this info anywhere.
