Anyone bought Sony Bravia 40W4500 from richersounds

Hi,
Anyone bought Sony Bravia 40W4500 from richersounds belfast, is that different from when buy the same model in Ireland?

Someone else mentioned in one of the thread that there is model with MPEG2 (for UK) and MPEG4 (for Europe), is that correct?

I am asking this information since someone else mentioned in one of the previous thread that there 2 verisons (UK, Europe) of the same model.

Good price from HarveyNorman. Richersounds are selling for 869 Sterling plus 40 Sterling delivery. Which works out at around 1200 Euro. However they can only supply uk version of TV.

Did you ask HarveyNorman whether the version of the TV they are selling has MPEG2 or MPEG4 Freeview Decoder. Reason being that towards the end of next year some stations will be available in Digital Free to Air in Ireland. These will be broadcast in MPEG4. If it is just the standard uk Freeview it will be the older MPEG2 which is no use in Ireland. Powercity claim to be selling the European version.

Try asking the question over on the richersounds forum on boards.ie as well - and if you are ordering say you are a "boardsie" and you should get a discount or reduced delivery charges.

Not sure if its any use but I bought this tv from the sony centre here on Saturday, it has both analogue & digital tuners installed on it. I'm guessing these are the mpeg thingies?
