Hello, I would really like to use a vinyl type flooring (i.e. karndean/amtico/or good quality lino) and carpets (in bedrooms) with my underfloor heating (in new build). However, some of the flooring shops I have visited say tiles and wood are the best for underfloor heating and others say that carpets and vinyls are equally as good. Has anyone used a vinyl flooring in their house instead of tiles or wood? I find tiles can be hard, cold and tiring to stand on for long periods plus if you let something fall on tiles, it can crack easily. Also, there are soo many lovely choices of vinyls/linos to choose from now which are cost effective and take very little maintenance. Has anyone any experience of putting down vinyl or carpets with underfloor heating and were you happy with your choice? Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.
