Looking for some handy hints to get rid of moss. I would prefer to use a natural remedy, as opposed to using chemical moss treatments.

What do you mean by "natural", even vinegar is a chemical, it's an acid in very dilute form.

If you follow the directions given on a bottle of Jeyes fluid properly you have little to fear.

If you really want to go "natural" you can go outside with a bucket of dioxy-hydrogen and a scrubbing brush and remove it the old fashioned way. The moss will keep coming back eventually because of the location of the patio which encourages moss growth.

I suppose by natural I mean something that is not harmful for two young kids running around the back garden and also environmentally friendly.

You might find that there is a trade off between effectiveness and 'natural'.

Isn't there supposed to be some method with copper wire or something in that a reaction takes place over time and kind of 'burns' the moss away?

get a steam washer they are not so expensive now and steam the area regularly you can also use it for other jobs car washing etc
