AnPost or Revoult for US dollars

Heading to US in September. What is the best way to bring spending money? Have a BofI visa debit and a MasterCard but they may be expensive to use abroad.. Was looking Into the AnPost card or Revoilt. What would be the cheapest way of bringing US dollars please?
 
Revolut is the cheapest way.

The Revolut app needs to be downloaded and the card ordered inside the app.

Revolut give you commission free FX and no margin on the FX rate. An Post charge a large margin on the FX rate.
 
Thanks Ciaran And Eithne. So can you just preload it in euros and they convert to dollars or sterling etc On th app on a 'good day' rate?
Can you reconvert to euros and use In Ireland if money left over (unlikely).
I can also use on Amazon.com or groupon US which i have signed up to for my trip. Th ask again.
 
You can preload in EUR.

You can convert to GBP or USD whenever you wish or it will automatically happen when you make a GBP or USD transaction.

You can reconvert back to EUR. You can use the Revolut card in Ireland.
