My husband and myself are currently assessed as single persons for tax, husband earns €32,000, I earn €37,000, no dependents and each of us claiming max tax relief benefits. I am considering job sharing whereby I would work 3 days per week instead of the current 5 days per week. My question is in this scenario would we be financially better off being jointly assessed, and for that matter as it currently stands with me working full time would we be better off jointly assessed.
