Annual to Weekly Wage and implications for work permit

Hi,
I have a query regarding calculation of weekly and annually salary. If annual salary is 30000 then how will the weekly salary be calculated. By dividing the annual salary by 52 or dividing by 52.18.

I am asking this as I had a contract specifying 30000 salary and I applied for an employment permit (I am Non EU national) now on my permit it mentions weekly salary as 576. when I multiply it by 52 it comes as 29952 and when I multiply it by 52.18 it is 30055.68.

Now I am being paid 2500 per month or 30000/year

should I ask my employer to increase it to 2504.64 per month or 30055.68 per year to match the permit salary?
or keep it 2500?

I am worried as I need to be paid the salary mentioned on my permit to renew it later

My contract mention 30000 per annum. This weekly wage on the permit has confused me

Please can someone provide a solution as I need to talk to my employer next week.

Thanks

I have seen 52.14 used as a divisor to translate annual salaries into weekly payments, but never 52.18.

52.14 is used because people who are paid weekly, are entitled to an extra week's pay (and an extra week's tax credits) once every 7 years. Every seven years there is a week 53 for payroll and tax purposes.

0.14 x 7 = 0.98, rounded up to 1 every 7 years.

This does not effect people who are paid monthly.

Your salary is 30,000. I have no idea why the other numbers you mention were used.

If you divide your 30,000 annual salary by 365 days (Year) and multiply ans by 7 days (week) you will get a weekly salary of 575.34. I do not see any difficulty here. Just keep your monthly payslips. I do not see why you should be annoying your employer about this matter.

We used 52.18 and 52.1785 in the past never 52.14. Since we changed to ppars you enter the annual from a drop down, the system calculates the 2 weekly and it seems they divides by 365.25 x 14..

If you divide 30,000 by 365.25 x 7 you get €574.94 so looks like they rounded up.

The work permit form asks for the annual, weekly and hourly rate only.

I have just used the 365.25 x 7 and then the weekly divided by the standard hours per week and they have never questioned it.
