American Phone adaptor

I recently brought back a phone from the US (cordless home phone) and I'm wondering if there is an adaptor that can be bought that will allow the phone to work on the Irish telephone configuration

Have you tried to see if it works straight off? AFAIK, most American phones use the RJ11 socket standard, same as rest of Europe outside of UK.

American phones work just fine over here. You'll need to change the power supply though. If the phone has a 110 volt DC transformer you can just replace it with a 220v version -- bring the old one to somewhere like Peats or Maplins and tell them you want to replace it for a 220 volt equivalent.
