Looking for some suggestions. My daughter is currently covered on VHI Family Plan Plus Level 1, and her daughter (5, going on 6) is on One + Plan, and a newborn son has been added to her current plan. Renewal date is Dec 31st. No current health issues in either case, and daughter not planning any other children.
Am currently thinking PMI 07 10 for daughter, same plan for granddaughter as she won't have free GP etc next year, and One + Plan for new born.
Son, aged 30, currently on One Plan 500, same renewal date, no health issues but would like to improve his cover for day to day stuff.
Suggestions??

Rob S,

Regarding your daughter, yes VHI PMI 07 10 is a good option and One + Plan is a good option for the newborn baby.

The following options are worth considering for your granddaughter;
1. Company Plan Plus Level 1.3; price 286pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech hospital excess 150 per admission and day case excess 50 per procedure. There is no excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 50% refund for gp visits, consultants etc - max refund per year 1000.

2. VHI PMI 07 10; price 299per child; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private/hi-tech hospital excess 150 x 1 max per year for all admissions,
day case excess 50 per procedure. There is no excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 50% refund for gp visits, consultants, etc - max refund per year 2000.

30 year old son options
There is the option for him to add on a day to day seperate plan to One Plan 500.
Details as follows;
VHI Healthsteps Silver; price 206pa; refund per gp visit 25 x 7 visits, consultant visits 60 refund x 7 visits etc.

An alternative option with VHI is Company Plan Plus Level 1.3; price 1128pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private excess
150 per private/hi-tech admission, 50 excess per day case procedure. Good day to day cover 50% refund for gp visits etc.

Rob S,

I have corrected grand-daughter options listed above. 2 all-inclusive plans with day to day cover built in are better value and worth
considering. They have 14 days after renewal date to make decisions or change their mind if required.

Snowyb,
Thanks for that. We have chosen PMI 07 10 for my daughter and grand-daughter, and One + Plan for new grandson. My son has added Healthsteps Silver to his One Plan 500, and all good to go Jan 1st! Thanks for your help.
