Already handed in 2wks notice, can I shorten it to 1wk?

I'm quiting my part time job before exam and I have a new job for the summer.
I gave in 2wks notice on Friday, but after reading my contract It says cos I'm there less than 3 months I only have to give 1 weeks notice.
So can I give in a new letter of resignation tomorrow, giving one weeks notice from tomorrow??

I know It kind of rude, but still.

Are you due any holidays - you can take those days as part of your notice perio
