I installed a Yale system around 25 years ago. Still working fine. They have newer systems now, but still self install.

Homesecure use AJAX, hardware is free, and is yours after 3 years. Pay monthly, includes central monitoring. This could be another option. If you want a referral code let me know. My 3 years is up in autumn.
