I have an AIB Tracker Mortgage and am on a special discounted rate until October I think the rate is 4.6% I was in the Bank the other day and I just mentioned that I had read that AIB had increased their rates for tracker mortgages and the girl told me that mine would be going up to 5.5% when the discounted period was up. I had assumed that the new rate was for new loans. I came home and tried to have a look at the small print of my LOan offer but could not see what the position was with mine. I assume it was a standare offer, does anyone know what the position is?

I'd take a closer look at that mortgage agreement - it should be in there somewhere .
 
Any broker-arranged AIB loan offers that I've seen stated the margin over ECB for the discount period as well as the follow on period.
