Hi Brendan
I got a call yesterday to say the bank had sent me a letter with chq over a year ago ( I never received it) but it had not been cashed & they would resend it with the letter so i could appeal it. 2 questions, do I lodge the Chq & then appeal or with hold the chq? Also i didn’t buy my house until March 09, does that mean I was actually outside the time limit for tracker mortgage? Thanks Erika
 
1) You should lodge the cheque. It does not affect your right to appeal.
2) In my opinion, the March 2009 date has no implications for you whatsoever.
3) So you should appeal it immediately.
