AIB 'Interest Adjust' payment

On Wednesday I received 2 payments INTO my AIB account with the title 'Interest Adjust'. I'm delighted of course, but have no idea what this is for....

Google provides very little information and my messages on AIB online banking don't refer.

Anyone else?
 
I received two letters and two payments, small as they were. However, I refuse to believe it was a mistake on the part of AIB.

Apparently on two different occasions on two different top up loans, they calculated the interest "wrong". Mopping it up before it comes out like the tracker stuff, me thinks
 
Wow, another banking ‘error’. Only affecting 85 thousand people!

They should be fined and forced to pay compensation.

There's no such thing as a crime when you have that much money

If you made a 'mistake' with your TV license there would be more consequences
