AIB hike in variable - time to fix?

Has anyone got a handle if AIB will raise the variable interest rate by 0.25% or 0.5%. Is it time to fix?

Was about to start a similar thread........I think it's time to fix , we're trying to decide whether to fix for 2 or 3 years.....

Watching with interest to see what others think.....

AIB's fixed rate will take into account how they think the variable rate will fare during the time of your fixed rate. They will err on the high side to ensure a profit. I would only fix if I wanted the certainty of paying X euro a month. I wouldn't fix if it was an effort to save money.
