Mrs Magoo and myself received emails from AIB announcing the changes in the names of these accounts as above.
I suppose the reason for this change is to prevent Businesses using this type of account in the future and the maximum deposit being €1 million reinforces this supposition. I usually have a healthy curiosity about seemingly straightforward notices from financial institutions and wondered if anyone else here can see something I'm missing.
As 4 of these accounts can be held at one time by Mrs Magoo and 4 by myself, we still have some time to wait before our €8 million deposit limit is reached. Unless a small win on the Lotto comes up of course.
