Hi,

Separated from Partner number of years ago. Agreed the family home would be split, and received the Terms of Settlement. I think I have made a mistake with what was agreed and wonder would anyone know if there is a 'cooling off' period, or any advice on what steps to take if any

Thank you in advance

You need to spell out more details here as it's very unclear what your question is.

1) I assume you were not married as you refer to them as your "partner"
2) When you say the family home would be split - do you mean sold and the proceeds split?
3) I presume you used a solicitor and your ex used a different solicitor?
4) What do the Terms of Settlement say? Why do you think it's not fair?
5) Have you signed them? I presume you have.
6) When did you sign them?
7) Did you tell your solicitor that you are unhappy with what was agreed since you signed them?

The situation still isn't really clear. Ideally you need to address the questions posed by @Brendan Burgess here if you want useful feedback/suggestions from the forum.
Otherwise all one can suggest is that you talk to your solicitor about your questions/concerns.

Impossible to offer useful suggestions/feedback if the original poster can't/won't address the many clarifying questions already posed...

Agree its difficult to offer advice at the moment. Lets give the OP time and space to reply and try to add context. It might not be an easy thing for them to do.
