Age Tax Credit.

I notice that my spouse is getting an Age Tax Credit of €490 allocated to her in her tax credits.

I don't get any even though I am older than her.

Any reason for this?

490 is the age credit for a couple. Is your spouse the main earner?

No. I am the main earner and I reached 66 years before she did, but she was given the tax credit.

Despite making a number of phone calls to the Revenue to have most of my wife's tax credits allocated to me, they keep defaulting back to my wife.

Is there any way to have this arrangement permanently made with the Revenue?
