What specific question do you have or what issues are of concern to you? My husband is a plasterer by trade but as we all know work is very scare.. he is on the local FAS scheme and is trying part time farming but to be honest the farming is not really working out...we are thinking of remortgaging by approx €40000 and clearing all loans & credit card. What do you think??

the main risk with remortgaging is that you will continue to run up ccard bills (you REALLY should pay the bill off every month) and personal loans etc. If you can downscale your living costs to match your income then remortgaging can work well.

you might get a better response from other posters if you include details of you outgoings.
