Advice needed on UK Deposits

They have just cut their deposit rate but still seems to be competitive vs Eurozone for Depositers. Some fairly high rates reported online.

They rarely get mentioned here including best buys. Is there a catch? Residence requirement, forex, obviously have to return your own DIRT

Am I missing something?

yes as you state - currency risk is the big catch which could wipe out some of your initial investment never mind the returns. Then theres the hassle - e.g. for some you need uk residence, for some like the NS&I just a UK bank account to buy the investments from is needed etc.
