How about the Toyota Corolla Verso? You will get certainly the reliability and space that you need, after that its a question of whether you like the style or not.
Here's one for a fiver under budget!

I agree about the make and model, but that car is British registered and I wonder if the price includes the VRT.

A realistic price for that make model year engine and mileage is slightly over OP's budget.

Think about looking across the pond if you are looking for anything in a slightly larger estate car. Great value and excellent spec in second hand estates. More choice too.

You are sure to find a Volvo V70 on www.carzone.ie that will suit your needs.

You will probably pick up a diesel for that money.

Loads of family space, dog space in the back etc.

Those cars are built like tanks and go forever.

That's one brand you could go for

Here you go

almost four grand under budget.

I would still push for a better deal.

Maybe spend a few quid out of what you have saved adding some extras to the car.

Don't bother with miles, look at service history.

Believe it or not cars dont just collapse after 100,000 miles if they have been looked after

I had a quick scan on Carzone for a Passat Estate.

Wasv not suprised to see mainly private sales and of course all UK Imports.

Run a mile from this type of car.

Try the Car Auctions in NI.
I know a lad in work who got an 04 Opel Zafira and saved about 6K
Think he got his for €8k Euros all in Vs €14k+ Here
