Advice needed on a fair plumbing quote

Hay All

I’m thinking of getting a plumber in to do a few jobs and was wondering what would be a fair quote, money is a bit tight at the moment and I would rather not pay over the odds. Anyway with that in mind I need the following done…


  • Gas boiler serviced
  • Thermostat fitted to one radiator
  • Heated towel rail installed (we will supply the tower rail)

I’m based in the east Meath area

Service between €60 and €80
Thermostaic rad valve (TRV) about €14

When you supply towel rail besure and get valves for it.

For everything between €200 and €230 plus VAT @ 13.5%
This also includes adding inhibitor when the system is refilled (approx €20) or buy it yourself and ensure it is added.
