any advice?? Need help getting advice on split year etc. I rang revenue but knew more about the Finance Act 2010 than them when the conversation suddenly ended!!!

Perhaps if you asked specific questions posters could collectively help on some matters or give more background as to what you are looking for from an accountant ?

Sorry to hijack this topic but I posted the following in the Wills and Inheritance forum:

I'm Irish, living and working in Germany but would not be considered to have either Irish residence or domicile (according to Revenue's definition).

My issues relate to the inheritance of of Irish assets and inheritance of non-Irish assets from parents resident in Ireland. I know that Revenue will be very interested along with the tax authorities in one or two other countries. A tax adviser based in Ireland would be a good place to start on this.

The sums are not massive and are the result of my lifetime savings by my parents but I am an only child so the Irish taxfree group threshold will be well exceeded. My dad is also ill so I need to start moving on this.

I have researched tax implications in each country and now would like to meet with a professional to discuss scenarios.

I have found a list of tax advisers on the Tax Institute website but was wondering if someone might be able to recommend a specific one.
Thank you.
