have a relatively new digital camera and have inadvertantly formatted the memory card. I hit 'ok' on a 'low-level format' option instead of hitting the cancel button. is there anything i can do - looks like all is lost in terms of pics and home movies.
Hi Majee, you can restore the pics using a recovery prog - there are many you can download for free. I have used a few very successfully in the past. The main thing is do not use the card until recovery is complete. Good Luck
I'd recommend bringing it to a specialist, unless you are fairly comfortable with messing around with technology. Keep the camera switched off in the meantime, so you don't do anything that will make things worse.
successfully recovered 300+ pics/home movies using a laptop memory card reader and a free download called recuva. one of the pics is messed up but the remainer look fine. not sure if the home movies will play as they look like they have been recovered as pics.
