Accessing freephone numbers outside ireland

Does anyone know how what I should do to use an free phone irish number from the UK. In Ireland it is 1800. In the UK it is 0800.

Should I drop the 1 from the UK to be able to use the free number for Ireland.

As a general rule, it is not possible to dial free phone numbers internationally. There may be rare exceptions.

I live abroad and have this problem constantly. If you go on the website of the company you can generally find a normal phone number or an email address. For you in the UK it will be, in general a number starting with the prefix (01) 7256...

Then you drop the 0 and dial 00 353 1 7256...........

01 is generally for Dublin (area code) where most companies have their main number.
