Just wondering what the story is with A3 zoning. We found a site which is A3 zoned however we live within 4 miles of the site. In addition we have lived in the local are for about 4.5 years. Are we eligible for planning. If we are eligible for planning as set out under the regulations. is it likely we will be considered
 
Is this of any use? The definition seems to vary according to the council in question it seems, so you may get your answer on your local council's website or from your local representative.
 
Re Cork A3 zoning.
Previously you had to live within a 3mile radius (as the crow flies) for a period of 7 or more years in a non development (ie not an estate) Also, it didn't have to be the last 7 years. I have now been informed that you have to live within the A3 zoned area! But like most things with the council, one person will tell you X and another will tell you Y! Best to call Planning section.
