A little help

Hi i bought a car there 4 weeks ago it is 1999 Micra i got him down to €3500 it was 4500 for it + an nct but it failed they said the car was oildling to much and the pan had bar at the back is a bit bent, he said he would fix it but i'm really not sure what it is that is wrong with the car can anyone explain it to me a bit better how serious it is.

Idling is a simple adjustment.

Pan had bar? Never heard of one of those. Perhaps it's alongside the ganglepin and spodrod?(!)

Either way take it back to the seller assuming he/she is a dealer.

If it's a private purchase you may be stuck for the repairs.
