8 pin lead for home cinema system

I have a JVC TH-A1OR DVD/Home Theater systeam that is about 5yrs old.
A connection from the DVD/Centre Unit to the sub-woofer is an 8pin male-male connection. It is circular in shape with two indents of only about 8mm diameter. The lead is about 1.5-2meters.
One of the pins broke when moving house and I have searched the internet, jvc, e-bay and was in maplin but cannot find a replacement lead
Anyone there that could lend a hand?

Sounds like an 8 pin [broken link removed] connector. If not that, it's almost certainly something standard that Maplin or the likes will be able to identify and provide.

Thanks Leo, I tried Maplin but I can only get the plug connection itself. My soldering isn't the best but I'll have to give it a go i think.
