5k loan over 1 year. Fixed Rate. Best option?

Hi,

I'm looking for a 5k loan over 1 year.
I'm getting this for my sister, who needs to know that the repayments won't change monthly, so I think that means I should go fixed rate?

I notice at top of thread that there used to be useful comparisons but they seem very outdated, is there somewhere else I should be reading?

In terms of loan:
  • Can anyone tell me the best place available for 5k personal loan (fixed rate?).
  • Over 1 year?
  • And/or where I can get a best comparison and a definitive answer to the best loan available?.
I got one from Tesco loans last year, which was very happy with. They don't seem to be operating loans anymore.

I've checked AIB which is 9.94 yet seems to be 540 euro per month repayment which seems excessive, compared to the Tesco loan last year.

There is something not right there. Are you including payment protection ?
 
AIB online quotes repayments on 5K over 12 months as €438.35 without
payment protection
