5 Year investment fund.

After switching to another high street bank they suggested putting me in touch with one of their advisors regarding investments as i had a lump sum deposit.

After the meeting the advisor suggest a 5 year Irish life medium risk fund returning on average 3% per annum.

Can anyone offer me any advice on this?
