4 Bose Speakers: How do I connect to PC?

I have four BOSE speakers, dont habe the models to hand, they have the traditional 'grey wire' to each speaker.

How would I set it up to play music from my PC (I want to do slideshows)

- do I need an amp?
- is there a PC style / compatible amp system

I've seen 'amps' in Hi-Fi shops but they seem to be too meaty for the job I'm after ie: playing music from my PC across some speakers.

Ta, in advance

You would normally need an amp - connect the PC to the amp and the amp to the speakers.

In theory, you can split RCA cables and connect the bare wires to your speaker wires... but it will either blow the speakers or be too quite. Not sure I'd try it!
