3G for Laptop

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody to explain a bit about 3G. I an in the process of buying a laptop & wonder if I should get one with inbuilt 3G capability.

I do not have Broadband in the house so I was wondering if 3G would be an alternative? or should I just get Broadband into the house.

Any help much appreciated

I dont know of any Laptop with 3G modems built in. These medems a specific to the service provider as far as I know.

Just get your preferred laptop. The 3G providers will provide a receiver which will fit to your laptop.

I got a Latitude D820 that supports it but have never used it. I wouldn't go out of my way to get this feature - just get a 3G modem later on from your chosen provider if you want.
