Hi There
I have 30k to save/invest.
I am thinking of splitting it into 5k into regular savings a/c - saving €200 p.m.
and
25k into lump sum/fixed term deposit a/c -I would be looking at a medium term investment, between 1-3 years. I won't need to access the funds during this time
My current a/c is with NIB, but from looking around I don't think their products are especially competitive.

I've read through Best Buys and from what I've seen I was thinking of going Anglo Irish Bank Annual Saver (8%) for the regular savings account and Rabo 2 year Fixed term a/c (5.42%) for the term a/c.

Am I missing anything or would I be advised to opt for other products?

Thanks in advance

Mia

I would put it in a lump sum Account like Northern Rock's 5% online account. Then I'd set-up a few regular savings accounts like Anglo @ 8%, INBS @ 7.35% etc and drip feed the money into these accounts.
