[2018] Recommend an electrician

As all of the threads on this are at least half a decade old, can someone recommend an electrician (Dublin area) ?

I don't have one in-mind sorry, but tradesmen are very busy at the moment so finding people is painful! I've had a fair bit of success with tradesmen.ie though, only takes 2 mins to stick your job up and see what responses you get, if you don't like the look of their reviews you can just move on...

I think Daniel O Donnell does some electrical work as well.

While that's good guidance, that's not helpful at all to someone that doesn't have family in Ireland and who's friends are all renting and don't know an electrician that they could recommend, hence this thread.

Sorry for disappointing you. You did say there had been no recent threads, so I merely referred you to one.

I can only suggest you keep asking around. Everything else is pot luck including recommendations here given that almost everyone here is anonymous.
