17" monitor

What is the best source in Ireland for a cheap and cheerful 17" monitor for a Dell PC. UK sites are a lot cheaper until you add in postage.

I am not worried about sharpness, refresh rates etc, I just want something I know will work for a couple of years,

Yes, I tried those - I was thinking that there might be an outlet in Ireland for second hand monitors, perhaps those disposed of as part of a business upgrade.

Find the monitor you want and use [broken link removed] to compare the prices. Lots of savings to me made.

If you want something that will work for a couple of years, I wouldn't go for something second hand.

But if you want to take the risk, try www.buyandsell.ie , www.boards.ie and e-bay.

was in an Aldi branch at weekend and although I wasnt paying too much attention-I did see what I think was a 17" monitor for around E279.
A couple of years ago someone directed me to a place in Finglas in Dublin that
re-cycled old computers-I bought a second hand IBM monitor very cheaply-2 years later its still going strong.I cant remember the name of the place though.You could buy all kinds of computer components which had been recycled.Perhaps someone else knows it?
