12 year Rule

Thanks Clubman, I'm struggling to understand the detail. Can someone who was a CU Board Member in March 2014, and has been a board member continually since then, be elected in December 2025 beyond March 2026? Or do all 12 year vets have to go in March '26? Sorry for being a bit slow.

This was brought up at our credit union AGM last year, I will try and pull out the AGM booklet we received, but in the meantime, this might help also.

Any director that reaches 12 years in March 2026 will not be eligible for re-election at the next AGM but can serve out their current term. If a director that has been in-situ since March 2014 was re-elected in December 2025 for the maximum 3-year term, they can serve until December 2028 but will then have to retire.
