    Thanks for the tips folks. I'm amazed by how unresponsive most of the companies are. I requested quotes from about 10 companies. The only 2 that responded with quotes were Carlson and Teroco. Got no response whatsoever from any of these: Senator Rationel

    Stove to suit Victorian fireplace

    I have a nice fireplace in the sitting room with tiles and cast iron hood. Would like to install a small stove, without cutting the hood or the tiles. Are there any freestanding stoves small enough for that? And would the old chimney even suit a stove? Attached a few pics with similar fireplace...

    My registration was slow last March but got there eventually. I tried logging out of the app today to see if the interest rate updated to 4%. And now it treats me like a new registration. Their whole app is very poor, and their processes too

    Same here, they are looking for bank statements. Some of my funds came from a KBC account that is now closed. Will see what they say.

    How long does it take to Re-fix with KBC

    In November 2022, I re fixed with KBC at a 3yr rate of 2.25%. Delighted with that rate, and it took about a month to go through. I am now with BOI and I hope to pay the balance once the 3 year term is up. Thanks to @Paul F for the help!

    Strange for there to even be an AVC option on ros.ie. Is that for people who pay a pension that is not linked to employer/payslip?

    I think I can answer my own question. If I go to claim it on my tax return ros.ie, I can see a section for 'Amount of total net pay contributions relieved under the net pay arrangement in 2022' and it shows my total pension contributions for the year, so I have already got relief for it.
